How To Build Savings And Eliminate Debt

Many of you do not aspire for financial wealth; but you do aspire for financial health. You want to build savings; you are tired of living pay check to paycheck and want to have some assurance that you will have income to pay for expenses if, for some reason, you are unable to work for several months. You also want to eliminate credit card debt. However, you have time that you need to invest in your family, friends and to enjoy yourself. You do not want to engage in activities that will require 15-25 hours of work per week.

This is why referring services is a great option for you to generate income to reach these financial goals. Referring is to suggest either products or services to someone based on either his or her need or want. It is done in the following situations:

1. When people ask where to find either products or services.
2. When people mention an issue which either a service or product could solve.
3. When people mention a desire that either a service or product could satisfy.

For instance, when I mention to people that I have a headache, some of them suggest that I buy Tylenol. When I ask my friends, "Do you know anyone who could help me with my taxes?". They name accountants who they know.

However, you can also recommend a service even when someone does not provide a hint that they neither need it nor want it. For instance, suppose that I am a customer of a website that sells great cards at generally a lower price than most retail stores. I ask my friends and family if they plan to send a birthday card in the current month. If they respond yes, I respond: “I just bought some great cards from this website. They cost less than most of the ones that are sold in retail stores. They give you two cards for free to see if you like it. I can give you the website address.

Recommending services should be completed in no more than 1-2 minutes. It is short and simple. There is no need to discuss the details of products and services. That is the responsibility of the business who you are recommending people to. For instance, if you refer 10 people per week to a business(es), it should consume no more than twenty minutes of your time per week.

How do you find businesses to compensate you for referring services? First, think of service professionals who you know, do a good job and provide something you either believe people need or just simply want. For an example, there are apartment complexes, accountants and satellite services who advertise compensation for referrals. It is often ideal to refer professional services such as chiropractors, tax accountants, independent insurance agents, massage therapists, auto-mechanics, barbers and etc. Very often the clues of people either needing or wanting these services are very obvious.

Once you have decided which businesses satisfy the want or needs of people who you know, write a list of people who could benefit from these services. If you are comfortable recommending services to these professionals, set up an appointment with them to discuss the possibility of compensating you for these referrals. Be certain that you understand these professionals' market by sharing with them the types of people who you believe that you can recommend. They may have some suggestions on how to refer other types of prospects that you may know but you were not aware of.

Secondly, be aware of meetings that you attend and are allowed to make announcements that will benefit the organization. This is a great opportunity to refer services. A very common example is daily meetings at your work place. For instance, suppose it is one month before the deadline of federal taxes and you know an accountant who you recommend individuals to. He offers to file your co-workers' taxes at a 15% discount. Your company has daily or weekly business meetings where near the conclusion of them, associates can quickly mention things that would be of interest to the other associates. At this time, you mention his offer, "An accountant who I know is willing to offer a 15% discount to file taxes for all of us."

Another area where businesses will offer compensation to refer services is in home based businesses. There are over 18 million home based businesses in the United States. These businesses provide services such as hair care, day care, health benefits, telecommunication devices, supplements, health and beauty etc. Based on my experience, many home based businesses are willing to offer referrals to those who know people in a market they are attempting to reach. For instance, many associates who provide supplements that benefit those who exercise at fitness centers form a partnership with fitness instructors. These instructors sample the associate's supplements to see if it provides something unique and beneficial to their students' workouts. If they determine that it does this, they are more than willing to recommend the service to their students.

In conclusion, recommending services is one option that requires the smallest investment of time and the largest monetary return. In recommending services, there is no sign up fee, there is no inventory fee and there are no scheduled hours to work. Lastly, selling of services is not required. This option is a great alternative for those who currently want to make $100-$500 per month to increase their emergency savings and eliminate nagging debt .

Here’s a service that you might be able to recommend to others. It is at:
